Two Hurricanes Could Threaten the U.S. in the Next Two Weeks

CWA meteorologist Joshua Nagelberg with the latest on 2 tropical disturbances, Invest 98L and Invest 97L which look to potentially become hurricanes in about a week in the Atlantic basin. Laura and Marco both could threaten the Southern U.S., especially Florida, as high pressure over the southwestern Atlantic drives each system over warm waters. In addition, a trough over the Central U.S. will likely draw each system northwestward over bath water. Lots of uncertainty remains as we are more than 7 days from potential impact, but now is the time to be aware and to be prepared for our most active stretch of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season!
