RAW: Hurricane Hunters fly into Tropical Storm Laura

Monday, August 24 | A crew from the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron Hurricane Hunters flew a reconnaissance mission into Tropical Storm Laura from Charleston International Airport, South Carolina. The squadron relocated its operations in order to avoid detrimental impacts possible from both Tropical Storms Laura and Marco.

Update: Early Tuesday morning Laura was upgraded to Hurricane Cat 1. The storm is expected to be Cat 3 at landfall.
