ISS: Arial footage of tropical storm Laura, now declared hurricane

Cameras stationed aboard the International Space Station (ISS) captured views of tropical storm Laura, that has strengthened into a hurricane this Tuesday, after crossing through the Gulf of Mexico.

Hurricane Laura is expected to hit the coasts of Louisiana and Texas within the next 48 hours, and has caused the evacuation of more than 500,000 people within the area. It is believed the hurricane may even strengthen into a category three storm.

So far, Laura has reportedly been responsible for the deaths of 11 people in the Caribbean and has caused severe flooding in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. 200,000 people have been left without power and around 10,000 without water in Puerto Rico.
